do you use the pen tool and the paint bucket? I'm struggling with painting my drawings =S (painting within the lines)

I draw using different brushes in photoshop. Painting is pretty easy, I use the magnetic wand tool on a layer underneath my line drawing and fill in the color that way. There is usually still some clean up to do after that though.

how long does it take you to draw something, approach?

it depends on the drawing. a quick sketch can take 10 minutes. for something more detailed, or just a drawing I’m struggling with, it can take up to 2 hours.

oh gosh, how on earth is it possible to draw things like these with photoshop?! i can barely draw a line! you really are talented!

Thanks! It’s not so bad. I have a Wacom Intuos tablet which takes some getting used to, but I eventually got the hang of it.

nope just photoshop usually. Sometimes If a drawing is too lo-res (like a sketch from my iPad) I’ll bring it into illustrator to clean up the lines.
